North Carolina

“I don’t want to move and I will not leave theChapel”….these are the famous last words that slipped out of my mouth as we drove back from counseling (yes, we see a marriage counselor, we have been in counseling together since a year after we started dating.) in February of 2018. Fast forward 11 months and we are packing the last of our things into our cars as we prepare to move to North Carolina.

It’s a very long and personal story, the one that explains the road that led to this very life altering move. I have been trying to figure out how to share the details, but I don’t know that you need to know every detail. But, what I think you should know is that God changed my heart after those words hit the air that day. Over the next few months he began to slowly open my heart to the idea of moving to a new place; he is very subtle. I didn’t even realize it was happening until we interviewed with a church in Charlotte and something in me knew that we would be moving here, regardless of whether Matt got a position or not.

It may not make sense to you, and feel free to ask questions, but just know….we know that we know that we know that this is a God thing.
